So apparently Hope has moved their USA distribution to Bend OR from Spring Texas, Which seems like a bad move. As an avid cyclists I sometimes find myself in need of replacement parts for my hubs, it used to be a simple call to Hope, where the phone was answered with a friendly drawl and by someone that was really interested in getting me what I needed with the whole transaction taking a couple of minutes resulting in a loyal satisfied customer. Today; however, I make the call and the phone is answered by what sounds like a disinterested highschooler, I introduce myself and his response is "what shop are you with" I explain to him that I am an end user and not a shop and that on several occasions I have purchased the requisite spares directly for full retail. He replies "well, we only sell to shops nowadays" So fine, but here's the thing: My local shops are inhabited by snarky entitled dill rods that really don't care about getting me a a spacer or a freehub which is why I chose Hope Technology products because their customer support was excellent, so I just want to thank you guys for F*%king that up.
