I called J&K at the beginning of the June to get some info about our TV that wasn't working. I was told that they did indeed service our area and that it was a $59 service call but that the $59 was applied to the bill if you ended up getting the TV repair done. Gus showed up and went to work on my TV on June 10th as scheduled. He diagnosed the problem to be a power supply. As we discussed pricing, he said the service call was $99. I told him that isn't what I was told but no problem because it was going to be applied to the repair anyway. Then he said it was not because I do not live in their main service area and that the service call can be made to be $79 but not applied to the repair. So I got a little ticked and faced with a 400 TV repair, I just told him to never mind, I wrote him a check for $79 and told him that I would be certain to post reviews about my poor experience with his company. He tore my check up and said, I don't want to have a mad customer. I told him, I'm just trying to understand all the things I was told and how they were different but really by the time we looked at his estimate, we were arguing over about $60. He called and found a refurbished part and so still a little uneasy about the way things had gone, allowed him to take the TV. He said it would be returned to me at the end of the week and I told him could he bring it middle of next week as we were going out of town that Friday. He said fine. The next week, as Friday late afternoon rolled around, I never heard from J&K electronics. I called and it went to voicemail and I left a message (the shop may have already closed by that time). That was Friday 6/14.

On 6/24 I was told my TV was done and FINALLY Gus called me. I told him I was unhappy with nothing being done as he said it would be and he told me he would deliver my TV the next week on 7/3. I told him that wouldn't work as we had a party scheduled for 6/29 and needed the tv. He told me that he was booked up and his million dollar install couldn't be put off for one little TV.

I called on Tuesday and again, Gus was not available and he would call me. He did not.

Over priced. Do not believe them when they say they will fix it within 3 days that is not the case I brought my tv in on Saturday and I had to call them on Thursday just to get them to tell me the price. Labor alone was 280.00. It was 325.00 for the parts, and when i research the parts online they were only 50.00 a piece and J&K was charging me 99.99 per part. They rob you blind the bad part about it is that... They have no customer service and clearly they have not realized that people can google the parts and get them for cheaper. Instead of paying them I went to best buy and got a brand new 60inch TV for 526.03 same samsung brand they had a sale. People wonder why Mom and pop stores dont last its because they try to rob you blind

On Wednesday 6/19 I recieved a call saying my part was in. I asked to speak to Gus and he was not available and did not return the call.

Absolutely terrible. Gus is a nice guy, but it seems he doesn't really know technology very well. He installed a home automation that doesn't work, installed a cell phone booster that doesn't work, and installed a motion sensor light that works half the time. All that cost me around 8k. I've had to hire another company to undo what he did and it's gonna cost me another 5 to 8k. Avoid this company.

On 6/17 I called and my TV was not fixed yet, but it would be done by Wednesday...I told the customer service person that it wasn't what I was told and could Gus please call me. No call came.

i had been to j & k about 2 years ago and it was an okay experience but i just recently went back for my mother in laws television. i was very satisfied. they have new staff that are really helpful. i took my television in about mid-day & the girl at the office told me she would keep me updated. she called me that same day to give me my estimate like promised. i approved it and my tv was ready that same week. that was about a month ago and i recieved a call from her today just to check in with me and make sure i was not having any issues with my tv! i thought that was so thoughtful that they want to make sure their customers are satisfied. i will definetly be going back to this place if i ever need it again.

This is worst and the most expensive (over $300.00) service I have every received. For my Christmas and birthday present my children had given me a 60” LED Smart TV with sound bar. The technician told me the TV was one of worst TV on the market and would not last five years. Also the sound bar was cheap. He hung the TV and sound bar but the sound bar was not level and my son re-hung the sound bar. I have a DVD/VCR that needed to be connected; he told me that it was old and outdated but he just happens to have another DVD player on the truck. I still have VHS tape and needed to keep this player; he told me he would look for the video cables. This was on December 17th about a week late I called and he was still looking for the cables. The office later called and told me that he was still looking for the cable and would contact me after the holidays. He did contact me to explain that he is still looking for the cables. I stopped by Best Buy and explained my problem and I was quickly shown the cables. I ask to have the Geek Squad stop by to setup DVD/VHS player and connect Netflix. The Geek Squad had everything setup within an hour. I guess the technician from J & K Electronics is still looking for my cable . . . CALL THE GEEK SQUAD!!

I was livid pissed! I told him that I would be down to pick up my TV the next day. At that point, Gus started telling me about a band across the top of the screen that must have been there before he picked it up where the picture is distorted. Aside from the TV being hard to turn on, there was NOTHING wrong with the picture prior to me sending it with Gus. So now, I've paid over $400 to fix a tv that came back in worse shape than when it left and because the owner couldn't be bothered to deliver one little TV, I had to take an hour of my time to go pick up his TV (which they didn't even discount the fact that they didn't deliver it after Gus made such a big deal about how the service call paid for the fact that I was so far out of his normal service area. After this experience, I started looking at the reviews online about J&K Electronics and while I didn't do so before I called them, I wish I had because it's filled with people who had nearly the same experience as I did. Gus is a nice guy I think, but runs a crappy business.
