Sold two vehicles and both times more $ than carmax

Vehicle was not ready when I showed up after I gave them a five business day notice. The vehicle has now been dropped by 4k since I first saw the list price. Horrible experience with the sales guy. However, the financing department was easy to work with.

First of all, I have no affiliation with Texas Direct whatsoever. I am not an employee nor have I utilized their services in the past. The reason I am writing this review is to let other Texans aware that this is the place you would want to sell your car to and buy a used vehicle. Having worked for a major brand dealership, I found that the dealerships go out of their way to lowball a customer's trade. It is done on purpose so the dealership can make a bigger gross end profit. If the car the customer is trading in can be resold on their lot, they will attempt to give the customer the least amount for their trade, hence increasing the gross profit for them once again. As a Salesman, I was aware of a situation in which a woman was only going to get $5,000 for her traded in vehicle at the dealership I worked at. She turned around, and sold it to Texas Direct for $9,500 and returned to our dealership to purchase the vehicle she wanted. I have found that purchasing a vehicle especially in Houston anyway is a very arduous task in which many dealerships utilize the same deceptive practices. Even buying a used car from a name brand dealership is extremely risky if you do not know what the deceptive pitfalls are once a deal is presented to you. After I had done my own searching around at one of their locations, I have found Texas Direct to have a very good inventory of used vehicles. The vehicles that they do have are in excellent condition. I know personally that when I go to sell my two vehicles of which are paid in full, I will be going to a Texas Direct to sell them and perhaps will be purchasing a used vehicle from them to avoid the hassles and trickery of major name brand dealerships. If this review helps just one person and saves them a couple thousand if not a couple hundred dollars, I will be happy because we all work very hard for our money and it is simply not fair, nor ethical how many of these dealerships in Houston attempt to deceive their customers.

Gave me a low amount for my car but it was better than Carfax

Sold my car here. The service was fast and friendly. I would highly recommend to anyone selling a car and want more than you would get on a trade-in.
